November 13, 2002 The arrival of the girders sent me to Tower Drive to capture these pictures. From the street one can easily see the various roof lines as the building continues to take shape
November 27, 2002 The Wednesday before Thanksgiving staff members accepted the invitation for a sneak peek at the new addition first hand. L to R: hard hats find a special place to rest, checking it out from the "front door", staff members wander through their future classrooms, Mrs. Millius celebrates her classroom and the chance to get "music off the cart".
   

Job Superintendent

Meet Lynn Turtscher the new job superintendent for the Table Mound Elementary School addition. Mr. Turtscher was hired for the position Thursday, December 19th and toured our facility on Friday, December 20th. Please join us in welcoming Mr. Turtscher.

April 9, 2003: Mrs. Millius and Mrs. Stevens - Music Staff members each signed a brick that will be placed in the new building. April 15, 2003: L to R: Mrs. Boeckmann tries to get to the new building via the future hallway, one of the workers discovers a shortcut to the room he needs to work in... Mrs. Boeckmann's.
Today's collection of pictures shows the progress made to the outside of the building. The new brick compliments the brick on the existing building. Several engraved bricks greet visitors to the addition as they enter through the community entrance.

May 6, 2003: L to R: Tables and chairs await the first meeting in the new building, heating & cooling system above the rooms, the entry to each classroom will be surrounded by a brick structure symbolizing one of the original schools that made up the Table Mound School.
May 27, 2003: The addition is beginning to look more like a school each day. L to R: Classroom hallway (notice lights in the ceiling), rows of windows above classroom hallway, men working on the 3 roof levels, gym lights being installed.

June 2003: The last day for teachers meant moving day. All materials and furniture were moved from classrooms to the multi-purpose room and stacked to the ceiling.
Staff Gathers For Sneak Peak
August 2003: On August 5th the staff gathered for a sneak peak of the new addition and remodeling project and to meet our new principal Roy Hansen. Spirits were high as staff members toured the facility. What exciting opportunities lie ahead for students, parents, staff and the community as we begin our new year.
